Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” This profound sentiment perfectly encapsulated the spirit of our end-of-year celebrations as we took to the streets for a Town Clean-Up Exercise earlier today. This was in collaboration with the County Government of Nyeri and the Nyeri Municipality, as part of our ongoing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), aimed at fostering a cleaner and healthier environment for Nyeri Sub-County.

In addition to the clean-up exercise, Nyewasco planted 530 Hass avocado seedlings at our Kangemi Sewer Treatment Plant. This initiative underscored our unwavering commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability while also contributing to food security for the community.

The exercise brought together Nyewasco Board Members, led by Chair CPA Gathogo Mwangi, alongside our esteemed partners, including Kiganjo Police College, ICPAK Mt. Kenya Branch, Consolidated Bank, Equity Bank, the Department of Water, Irrigation, Environment & Climate Change – Nyeri, and Tana Water Works Development Agency. Their support and participation played a vital role in the success of the day’s activities.

By integrating environmental stewardship into our operations, Nyewasco continues to set a strong example of sustainability while reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining clean and green surroundings. These initiatives highlight our focus on creating meaningful impact through innovative and sustainable solutions.

Nyewasco remains steadfast in leading projects that align with its mandate to support community development, environmental conservation, and sustainable resource management in Nyeri County. The clean-up and tree planting exercise reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to a cleaner, greener, and healthier future for all.
