Nyewasco marked the end of a successful year with vibrant celebrations held at our Kamakwa Water Treatment Plant. The event was a moment to reflect on the blessings, achievements, and opportunities the year presented, underpinned by a powerful message: “Remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth” — Deuteronomy 8:18.
In attendance was the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Water, Irrigation, Environment, and Climate Change, Mr. Frederick Kinyua, our esteemed Board members led by Chair CPA Gathogo Mwangi, Managing Director, Eng. Peter Kahuthu, members of senior management, and our incredible staff, all of whom have played a critical role in the company’s growth and achievements over the year.
During the event, heartfelt speeches were delivered by the CECM, the Board Chair, and our MD, highlighting the milestones achieved, challenges overcome, and the unwavering dedication demonstrated by every team member. The leadership emphasized the importance of resilience, teamwork, and commitment to service delivery in achieving our objectives.
A key highlight of the day was the recognition and appreciation of long-serving staff and retirees. Their dedication, hard work, and significant contributions over the years were celebrated, underscoring our culture of valuing people. As we close this chapter of 2024, we carry with us the lessons learned, the spirit of teamwork, and a renewed commitment to serving our community better. We remain steadfast in our mission to provide reliable water and sanitation services while fostering sustainability and environmental conservation.
